Wool Pickers The wool picker is used for picking wool and other fiber (separating the locks). This opens the wool and prepares it for carding, combing and even spinning. Some fiber types need more picking than others. This tool makes the work easy and nicely prepares the fiber for carding and combing.
Pickers are also an excellent way to blend fibers. The picker will tease or separate the locks of fiber, as well as blend fiber prior to carding. It is possible (but usually not desirable) to spin fibers after only preparing them on the picker.
