It spins on a fast bushing, is smoothly hand finished, and has a sensuous curve or two to delight the eye. The first time you need to skein up several hundred yards of lace-weight yarn, you'll be delighted that you finally bought one. The skein winder has nice long arms so you can do big skeins, and it measures 72" around, so counting your yardage is a snap. Skein competitions want yarn put up in 2-yard skeins, too, so you're all set for that too.
Our woodworker uses re-purposed woods (walnut, cherry, maple and popular), whatever he has left from his fine furniture projects, so give us a range of preferences to work from when ordering, or call us to see what woods are currently in stock.
Includes c-clamp (mounts to table top) and a small hex wrench to assemble (you will need a screwdriver for 2 screws on the base).
Breaks down easily to transport.
