Beautiful detailed working reproductions of medieval sundials still in use in some regions of France today! Wear them as a pendant, use them as a timepiece. Come with easy-to-learn instructions, an interesting history and are packaged in a small gift box. Include ribbon cord. All you need is a sunny day.
These bold sundial replicas use a unique "Bead of Light" to tell time. First, adjust the brass band for the correct month. Then suspend the dial by its black satin cord with the hole facing the sun. A ray of sunshine will shine through to illuminate a number on the inside of the dial, showing the hour.

Engraved with the Signs of the Zodiac. This bold pendant, handcrafted in pewter and bronze, is a favorite. Eleanor of Aquitaine gave a similar sundial to King Henry II to remind him when it was time to leave the hunt and join her for one of their love trysts. Henry had a copy of the dial made for Eleanor and had it inlaid with diamonds and engraved with the words Carpe Diem, or "Seize the Day". We can't inlay the the diamonds, but Henry's inspired words are there on the inside of the pendant. Shipped with a 31-inch black silk cord and complete instructions.
