Joan Moshimer and Verna Cox explain and demonstrate the steps in creating a Traditional Hooked rug section with the added color enhancement of Braided Rows.   Joan explains how to select fabric, how to select frames and hooks, as well as pattern information.   She also shows three styles of color dyeing for the individuals that wish to color dye their own material.

Verna Cox then explains how the hooked rug center is prepared and backed in readiness for the braids to be added.   The braiding technique is shown along with the special sew/lace technique used in adding the first row of braiding to the hooked rug.   Butting is also explained.
