Glimåkra Standard is a sturdy and well constructed loom based on traditional Swedish loom design, where every feature has a purpose based on making weaving easy and pleasurable. You will quickly realize what a good, strong, complete and well built loom Standard is. You can use it for all kinds of weaving.
Standard is a loom with open side frames, which allow you easy access for threading and tie up. Loom light is available.
Standard is really a versatile loom. You can start with the basic model, 4 shafts and 6 treadles. As your interest in weaving develops and your knowledge increases, you can add more shafts and treadles to your Standard.
There are also many attachments and accessories which can be added any time.
Standard is designed so that you can equip it with a fly shuttle beater, double warp beam, sectional beam, loom extension, drawloom, etc. This will make your weaving even more advanced and enjoyable.
Available in 3 sizes, from 47" to 63" weaving width, this beautiful solid loom has the traditional Scandinavian design with overhead beater. The countermarche action makes it a pleasure to weave on (also available in counterbalance). This versatile loom can grow with the weaver: there are optional attachments such as a sectional warp beam, double warp beam (special order), and fly shuttle beater (special order). 4-harness models come with 6 treadles; 8-harness with 10 treadles, 10-harness with 10 treadles and 12-harness with 12 treadles.
Price includes: an adjustable bench, stainless steel reed of your choice (5, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15-dent; 12-dent if not specified), 1000 polyester heddles, lease sticks, shaft holders, 48 warp sticks, shuttle, book "Tying up the Countermarch Loom" (with countermarch looms) and instructions. Shuttles are extra.
NOTE: On Countermarch, Vertical and Horizontal are now the same price. Please call or specify in the comments (at checkout) if you want a vertical.
