Kromski Spinning Wheels
The Kromski family of Poland has been making spinning wheels for the last three generations of their family. The look of the Kromski Spinning Wheels is unique and the quality is superb. No other wheels on the market have the attention to details, the depth of wood turning that you will find in these wheels. If you are looking for a first-time wheel or want to add to your collection by buying a wheel that will be different from what you have come to expect, consider a Kromski spinning wheel. The prices are exceptional, but so are all aspects of these wheels. If you have questions about selecting a spinning wheel, look here for help.

This wheel has the look of wheels from the Baltic area of Poland and Scandinavia. In fact, a well known spinning wheel historian has said that the manner in which this wheel is built is as close to being historically correct as he has seen. This will be a plus for spinners wanting the "real thing" and for
the growing community of reenactors. The amount of decorative turning on this wheel is substantial, making it a sight to behold.
The Polonaise features functional wood threaded wheel angle adjustments so the proper angle can be obtained with the flyer. Pin and socket bearings support the wheel, offering low friction and exceptional ease of treadling. All of the wheel hardware sits between the wheel posts and the footman passes through the bench to the treadle.
The Polonaise is made with European alder and birch and comes standard with double drive and scotch tensioning. The bobbins will hold a full 4 oz. package of yarn and they fit on all the other Kromski wheels if you start a collection. With its antique look, the Polonaise makes the perfect wheel for reenactors. Additional specifications:
This wheel comes boxed as a kit and requires about a half hour to assemble.

Kromski Quick Change Flyer Set - here is an innovation from the Kromskis that will make changing bobbins on a double drive set-up easier. The spindle on the flyer "breaks" at the base of the flyer allowing you to pull off the flyer and the bobbin without removing the whorl or the drive band from the whorl. Comes with conversion parts, flyer and three Quick Change bobbins. Specify your Kromski wheel type. Requires different bobbins than what is standard with all Kromski wheels. See how it works. This is a SPECIAL ORDER item. May require 2-3 months for delivery.

Kromski Tensioned Lazy Kates
You can choose from two styles of lazy kates (see above). The arched version comes standard with all Mazurka and Symphony wheels; the upright Kate comes standard with the Polonaise. Prices DO NOT include bobbins.
These three-bobbin kates are distinctive in their look as well as for ease of use and adapability should you have other size bobbins you wish to ply from. They hold Kromski bobbins, of course, but also Ashford (standard bobbins), Jensen, Reeves, Timbertops, Roberta (regular), Majacraft and Lendrum (regular and very fast bobbins).
