INKLE LOOMS

Inkle looms are designed to weave several yards of narrow fabric for articles such as belts, sashes, ties, bookmarks, hairbands, guitar straps, etc. We offer the Ashford Inkle Loom and the Leclerc Inkle Loom.


WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED WITH AN INKLE LOOM:

  • yarn
  • one or 2 inkle shuttles
  • book ("Inkle Weaving" or "Inkle") or video ("Supplementary Warp Patterning - Inkle Loom Techniques")

 


ASHFORD INKLE LOOM

Compact portable loom for making belts, ties, straps and trims. Maximum warp length: 137"; width: 4". Wood is unfinished New Zealand silverbeech. Instructions and 1 belt shuttle included. Good companions for this loom are the book "Inkle" or "Inkle Weaving", the video "Supplementary Warp Patterning" and a tube or two of "Maysville cotton warp."

ASHFORD INKLETTE

A smaller version of the above, this is a small, very portable inkle loom for making belts, bracelets, ties, straps and trims. It is only 14.5" long and weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. Maximum warp length: 72"; width: 2". Wood is unfinished New Zealand silverbeech. Instructions and 1 belt shuttle included. Good companions for this loom are the book "Inkle" or "Inkle Weaving", the video "Supplementary Warp Patterning" and a tube or two of "Maysville cotton warp."

LECLERC CENDREL WARPING FRAME AND INKLE LOOM

If you are in need of a large warping board, one that sits on the floor or table, or a large inkle loom, this product may be for you.

As a warping board, the Cendrel can help you create a warp of up to 10 yards.

To use it as a floor standing inkle loom, sit at the end of the frame (with a number of pegs removed) and weave belts, bands, strips of fabric up to 6" wide and up to 16 feet long. A very convenient and comfortable inkle loom. Designed to be used with continuous string heddles which you can make up in minutes.

All pegs are installed with wing nuts for quick change and the base has non-skid mounts. 32.75" tall, 28.5" wide and 14" deep. 9lbs.
