The Woolery supports Handspun Hope
Handspun Hope was established in February 2008. Through the raising and shearing of sheep they are producing beautiful handspun yarn that is then dyed with native plants such as coreopsis and eucalyptus. Since merino sheep are not native to Rwanda, they are importing them from Kenya.
Handspun Hope is a project coordinated and directed by True Vineyard Ministries. True Vineyard Ministries is a Christian humanitarian organization that is passionately dedicated to widows and orphans who have been impacted by genocide, subsequent conflicts and HIV in Africa so that they can live out their God-given destinies.
