Louet Drop Spindle
The Louet is available as top whorl spindle (the whorl is near the top when spinning) and a bottom whorl spindle. Top or bottom whirl refers to the location of the whirl (large wooden disc), relative to the hook which your yarn will run through. The whirl features decorative sheep heads. This drop spindle weighs 77.1 gr or 2.7 oz. and is un-lacquered. The whirl of the drop spindle is made of birch plywood and the stick is made of ramin.
