Neat, little gadget is designed to protect the hook on your spindle. It fits snugly and firmly on the upper shaft and hook, plus it also doubles as a wrist distaff. Just take off your spindle, slip it over your wrist and voilą, an instant distaff. It is beautifully turned and made in a wonderful variety of exotic woods. In addition to Greensleeves spindles, Butcher's crowns also fit Journey and Vermont spindles.
