The Bare Bones
If you are a beginner, a spinning teacher, or if you are simply dying to have a Greensleeves spindle but can't afford one of the more expensive ones, the Bare Bones is for you. This high whorl spindle features a plain shaft but also a beautiful whorl made of premium maple. It spins long and leisurely and can take rough-and-tumble beginners (although you should, as with any spindle, be careful not to drop directly on the hook or go on long outdoor trips). Whorl diameter is 2.5", shaft is 10" long and weights vary between 1.4 and 1.8 ounces.
