TRIANGULAR LOOMS
These looms are very easy to use and, like tapestry looms, do not require a warping board. Weaving progresses from the corners to the center, and from top to bottom, all at the same time using one continuous thread. Because of the resulting triangular shape, tri looms are ideal to quickly weave a shawl (a 7-foot one in less than a day!), perhaps using leftover yarns. Beside shawls you can make blankets or afghans by piecing several triangles together or experiment with making mats, scarves, ruanas or ponchos!
Tri looms and stands listed below all come finished with two hand-rubbed coats of Danish oil. The looms include instructions for weaving and finishing a project.
Good companions for these tri-looms are the videos Triangle Frame Loom Weaving Magic and Tri-Babies and Handwoven Triangular Shawls.
