HitchHiker Spinning Wheel

An inexpensive compact portable wheel, the HitchHiker weighs only 9 lbs and is airline compatible. It is made of Baltic birch plywood and selected hardoods and is finished in oil. It is a direct drive: a drive ring on the flyer shaft is driven from the side of the wheel with Scotch tension braking. Treadle can be ordered left or right side. Wheel diameter: 14"; ratios: 7, 9 and (New!) 13 to 1. Orifice height: 17 1/8". Includes 3 bobbins, threading hook and built-in Kate. Price includes shipping within continental US.
