Hitchhiker Spinning Wheel

An inexpensive compact portable wheel, the HitchHiker weighs only 9 lbs and is airline compatible. It is made of Baltic birch plywood and selected hardwoods and is finished in oil. It is a direct drive: a drive ring on the flyer shaft is driven from the side of the wheel with Scotch tension braking. Treadle can be ordered left or right side. Wheel diameter: 14"; ratios: 7, 9 and (New!) 13 to 1. Orifice height: 17 1/8". Includes 3 bobbins, threading hook and built-in Kate. Price includes shipping within continental US.

Road Bug Spinning Wheel

A shorter and even more compact version of the Hitch Hiker compact portable wheel, the Road Bug weighs only 8.9 lbs and is airline compatible. It is 16" high and made of Baltic birch plywood and selected hardwoods and is finished in oil. It is a direct drive: a drive ring on the flyer shaft is driven from the side of the wheel with Scotch tension braking. Treadle can be ordered left , right side or double. Wheel diameter: 14"; ratios: 7, 9 and New! 13 to 1. Orifice height: 17 1/8". Includes 3 bobbins, threading hook and built-in Kate.
