Harrisville Looms from Harrisville Designs

Since 1972 Harrisville Designs has manufactured jack-type maple looms in an old New Hampshire textile village. Their philosophy has always been that function, quality and economy are equal elements of a sound design. Each item must be, first and foremost, a good tool. Harrisville looms are a great value and come fully assembled or as unfinished kits (with sandpaper and oil included). All looms come with a carbon reed of your choice ( 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 dent - or pay a supplement if you want a stainless steel reed) and large eye wire heddles. Shuttles are extra. Sectional warp beams, which allow the warp to be easily and quickly beamed by one person, are available for all looms. Tool trays, raddles and tensioning devices are optional. HARRISVILLE MODEL A/6

Model A/6 is a good choice as a first loom; its weaving width is 22" (exact width: 28") and folds from 32" to a depth of 13"; it comes with four harnesses and six treadles. As with all Harrisville looms, it also features the easy-to-use "snap chain" tie-up system. The loom easily folds with the warp in place. Includes wheels and 400 heddles. Weight: 60 lbs. HARRISVILLE MODEL 22/8

The Model 22/8 is a step-up for the weaver that wants eight harnesses and ten treadles for more complex weaving but also a compact loom for small projects, samples or for workshops. Weaving width is 22", exact width 28" and it folds from a depth of 34" to 18". A very good value - compare. It can be folded with the warp in place. Includes wheels and 600 heddles. Weight: 70 lbs. Model T/6 is a 36" (weaving width), four harness, six treadle loom that is conveniently compact but high in features. Its exact width is 42" and it folds from 32" to a depth of 13". It is inexpensive enough to be a beginning loom but may be all the loom you will ever need. It features the easy snap-chain tie-up and comes with wheels and 600 heddles. Weight: 70 lbs.
