WOOL NEPPS: Nepps are a by-product that comes from the second cut during the shearing process. They are firm nubs of wool you can use to add texture to your spun yarn, felting projects, or textile work. They can be dyed using the procion dyes. Felting and other softening techniques before blending can possibly produce better results depending on your project.

ALPACA FLEECE
Alpaca is at least 3 times warmer and much finer than most sheep wools, so it is not itchy. There is no natural grease such as the lanolin. So you don't have to wash the fleece before you can spin it. Most hand spinners spin raw, unwashed alpaca into yarn and then wash the finished yarn. Great for blending, felting, spinning. The alpaca we have is very soft, beautiful, and clean (very little, if any dirt or vegetable matter).

The Churro fleece is long, fine, and coarse. It has two layers and is low in oil. An endangered breed and hard to find. Churo was/is used by the native americans to weave rugs and blankets. Good for those who want to spin their own sturdy yarn and good for authentic navajo weaving.

Optim is a mechanically stretched Merino that has had some of the crimp permanently removed; during this process, the fiber has become finer and has developed a luster that is visible after spinning.
