Books from The Woolery

  Felting by Hand

Author: Anne Einset Vickrey

The author says this book is written with the American craftsperson in mind. She has researched the felting qualities of sheep breeds available in the U.S. and lists sources of fleece and carded wool specifically suited for felting. How to choose domestic wools for specific felting projects is clearly explained.

There are ample photographs and illustrations to show the beginner through the steps of making felt wearables. There is a chapter for kids’ projects. Full-size fold-out patterns for most projects are contained in the book.
